Delicate Beauty Therapeutic Spa - "therapy that caters to all 5 senses..."
Nancy Young,
Owner Of DBTS/dbts Skin Bar always knew she wanted to help people:
 
"I just thought it would be more in the traditional medical field. I completed 3 ½ long years at Eastern Michigan University receiving my Bachelors degree in psychology with a double minor in child psychology and sociology. In my last year, I started to realize that this was not how I had intended on helping others. I didn’t want to be a (shrink), I wanted to be an innovator. I wanted to help people become healthier specifically through skin care. This is when the concept of Delicate Beauty Therapeutic Spa began. My goal is for everyone to leave feeling educated, healed and refreshed.”
The spring of 2011 Nancy developed the ultimate tool for educating her clients on how to maintain and achieve optimal skin health.  dbts Skin Bar.com was developed as an educational site which broke down in detail skin types, diseases and how to treat them.  October of 2012 Nancy opened her second location, a pod store, dbts Skin Bar in downtown Ann Arbor:"education has always been the driving force behind my career choice as an esthetician, when I received my certification as a Nutritional Counselor, I new we had to get the Skin Bar up and running, it is important that people understand that skin health isn't a luxury, but a necessity." 
 Nancy completed her 600 hour certification in Aesthetics from the Douglas J Aveda Institute & currently she holds over 250 Post graduate hours through The International Dermal Institute. She credits her instructor’s knowledge as the reason she has been able to start her own business and why it will continue to grow. She is  a Michigan Board Certified Esthetician with several years of skin & body care experience.

Meet Brittni:
 
Brittni Brown joined the DBTS/ Skin Bar family in Oct 2012 as a sales associate and assistant under Nancy Young. A senior at Eastern Michigan University studying Communications with a specialization in public relations, and marketing.
A passion for event coordination, fashion pr and marketing she joins the team bringing branding , research, and development experience. She plans on taking on the new role of publicist to assist with the growth of promotions both at dbts/skin bar while still serving as reception.
 
Meet Rachele:
 
Michigan Board Certified Esthetician
"Helping people has always been something I enjoyed. Being a very independent person, I never asked for much help for myself. That was until I developed severe acne as a teenager, that carried into my life as an adult." 
Rachele worked with dermatologists and used countless medications, without success. With that said, she took matters into my own hands, and decided to pursue a career in Aesthetics.
Rachele graduated from Michigan College of Beauty in April, 2012, with 600 hours & will continue to expand her knowledge in skin science by taking advance courses through the International Dermal Institute. "While attending school, I had the opportunity to take advanced courses in acne and age management. With my knowledge and the passion I have for helping people, I hope to assist you in achieving healthy, beautiful skin!"
 
Meet Elgin:
 
 
Elgin Batie joined the DBTS/ Skin Bar family in November 2011 as an executive assistant. He is currently a senior at Eastern Michigan University studying Communications with a specialization in marketing & advertising. Since then Elgin has helped maintain and grow the company by implementing simple marketing tools such as social media which in turn has successfully attracted new clients. He plans to continue to use his expertise to further expand the DBTS/Skin Bar brand.
